A sulfur-chloride-sodium therapeutic spring, publicly owned, with a temperature of 41°C and radioactivity of 0.6 Mache units, providing abundant medicinal waters that have been used as such since ancient times. The springs are located at the 16th kilometer of the public road from Lamia to Atalanti. They are served by a bath facility, a small hotel, and popular lodgings, all electrified. For a chemical analysis of the waters, see A. Dambergi, "On the Medicinal Waters of Greece", year 1906. In 1937, 14,408 baths were taken. Strabo, in his Geography, Book 9, Chapter 4, p. 290, writes about the springs of Thermopylae.
